Cardiff is the capital of Wales. It used to be an industrial city, but is now a lively and modern capital city and a tourism hot spot. The city is friendly to pedestrians, and summer is by far the best time to visit, with large festivals, and outdoor dining and drinking. The city centre has been intensely developed in the 21st century, and is now considered to be one of the top ten shopping destinations in the United Kingdom. Cardiff is a green city, and this is complemented by Bute Park which sits in the heart of the city. It has a reputation as a city of castles, having 5 of them within its surroundings. The city’s core population stands at roughly 341,000, with 861,000 living in the larger urban area.
Cardiff is on the south coast of the south Wales plain, with a shoreline on the Bristol Channel. It lies at the mouth of three rivers: the Taff, the Ely and the Rhymney, with the Taff flowing through the city centre and all three reaching the sea at Cardiff Bay. Cardiff is quite a flat city, a characteristic that helped it become one of the world’s leading ports for the transport of coal from the rugged south Wales Valleys.

What is Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)?
MSP (Managing Successful Programmes), is an established best practice programme management framework, designed to align programmes and projects to organizational strategy and enable enterprise agility. MSP focuses on the delivery of outcomes of benefit, while mitigating risk and actively engaging stakeholders.
MSP consists of a set of principles, themes, and processes that provide a clear roadmap for the programme lifecycle, including larger, more strategic, complex, or multiple projects.
When will I receive my MSP exam results?
Foundation Exam Results
If you have taken a classroom course, your paper-based exam will be marked by the trainer immediately following the exam and the provisional results are available within an hour. If you have taken a Virtual Live or Online course, your online exam will be marked automatically and your results will be immediately available upon completion.

Are there any prerequisites for MSP?
There are no formal prerequisites for the MSP Foundation course, however it is recommended you have experience of managing or working in programmes prior to attending. For classroom based courses you take your paper-based examinations in class during the course. The MSP Foundation exam will be sat on Day 3 and the Practitioner exam will be sat on Day 5. If you fail to pass either of the MSP examinations, we will offer you support to give you the best opportunity to pass at the next attempt. Both Foundation and Practitioner exams can be sat on their own without having to retake the whole course (as long as you originally took the course with us). Don’t worry if you do fail one of the exams, they are designed to be a challenge - if everyone passed first time, then it wouldn’t signify a good exam.
Our high pass rates for both Foundation and Practitioner exams allows us to be confident that you will pass at the first attempt providing you complete the pre-course reading, attend the course every day, undertake the trial questions, and conduct the 1-2 hour daily homework during the course.
Do the MSP qualifications expire?
The Foundation examination does not have an expiry period.
Candidates who pass the Practitioner exam are recognized as a "MSP® Registered Practitioner" and candidates who pass the Advanced Practitioner exam are recognized as an "MSP Registered Advanced Practitioner". Individuals will remain registered for a period of five calendar years.
To maintain their registered status, Registered Practitioners/Advanced Practitioners must complete and pass the MSP Re-Registration examination three to five calendar years after their initial/previous Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner certification.
