Course Overview
This accredited PRINCE2® Foundation 7th edition course is designed to provide delegates with a working understanding of the PRINCE2® structured project management method. It will enable them to use the method when working within a PRINCE2® project and to pass the PRINCE2® Foundation examination.
The course covers the full PRINCE2 Foundation syllabus and therefore equips delegates not just to take the Foundation examination, but also to understand the broad range of PRINCE2®’s principles, key themes, processes and techniques. The aim during the course is to achieve an effective balance between exam success and the need for skills transfer.
Delegates are required to undertake preliminary study using pre-course learning resources which will be provided to them. Further self-study is also expected during the evenings of each course day.
Please note: the following PRINCE2 examination process will apply to every course:
- All PRINCE2 examinations are arranged and administered online direct by Peoplecert.
- Delegates will be provided with a Peoplecert examination voucher for each examination. The voucher for the Foundation examination includes access to the Official 7th Edition PRINCE2 Manual e-book.
- On receipt of the voucher code the delegate should create or login to their candidate profile on the Peoplecert website to “redeem” the voucher and get access to the PRINCE2 Manual e-book.

PRINCE2 Foundation
- Tests you on the terminology and concepts of the PRINCE2 methodology
- Exam time: 60 minutes
- Multiple-choice style: 60 questions
- Pass mark: 60% or more
- Closed-book exam (i.e. no reference materials are allowed during the exam)
- Peoplecert emails your official results and e-certificate approximately 2 business days after completing the exam

Are your PRINCE2 course accredited?
Yes, all of our PRINCE2 training courses are accredited by Peoplcert (the only exam board for PRINCE2 qualifications).
How does the Exam Pass Guarantee work?
With our Exam Pass Guarantee, if you do not pass the exam after attending this training course with us, you will be eligible to attend the same training again for free. Please note learners will have to pay for the examination fee which is set by the examination board. Students retaking the course are required to use any materials or books distributed to them in their original course session. Failure to provide these materials will result in the student being charged for replacement materials.
Is the PRINCE2 course suitable for me?
Our PRINCE2 training is designed to provide delegates with a working understanding of the PRINCE2 structured project management method. It will enable them to use the method when working within a PRINCE2 project and to pass the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner examinations.
Are there any prerequisites for PRINCE2?
PRINCE2 Foundation has no prerequisites. However, to take the PRINCE2 Practitioner course and exam, you must have passed PRINCE2 Foundation.
What is the pre-course reading?
The pre-course resources we provide includes key pages from the official PRINCE2 manual, video resources and online quizzes.
How do I take the exams?
All PRINCE2 exams are taken online with Peoplcert (the PRINCE2 awarding body). Learners will be provided with exam vouchers to book their exams on a date/time they choose. Peoplecert run exams 24 hours a day, 7 day a week.
What is the structure of the exams?
The Foundation exam is multiple choice (e.g. pick one answer from four, missing word or list style questions) and the Practitioner exam is a multiple choice scenario format, a style of complex multiple-choice examination (e.g. classic multiple choice and matching style questions).
Can I use any materials during the exams?
The Foundation exam is closed book - no materials are allowed. The Practitioner exam is open book and the official PRINCE2 course manual can be used. Learners can make notes inside the book but no other material is allowed.
