Real-world use: Understand what type of cloud solution is best for a small business vs an enterprise, and when hybrid makes sense.

Lesson 2 – Applying Cloud Business Principles

Focuses on why businesses adopt cloud – the benefits, risks, and commercial implications – including budgeting, compliance, and contracts.

• Business value of cloud: agility, cost control, scalability

• CapEx vs OpEx models

• SLAs, contracts, licensing

• Impact on business processes

• Vendor lock-in and exit strategies

Real-world use: Be able to explain to a stakeholder why a pay-as-you-go SaaS CRM could save money vs an on-premises system.

Lesson 3 – Advising a Cloud Design and Migration

Prepares learners to support or lead migration projects and advise on the technical and business aspects of cloud transitions.

• Migration strategies (rehost, refactor, rearchitect, rebuild, replace)

• Risk analysis

• Data and application dependencies

• Change management and user training

• Exam duration: 60 minutes
• Up to 75 multiple-choice, drag-and-drop and performance-based questions
• Passing score: 720 on a scale of 100 to 900
• Recommended experience: 6–12 months’ experience working as a business analyst in an IT environment with exposure to cloud technologies

• Two days of instructor-led training and exam preparation delivered by an accredited CompTIA trainer
• Official CompTIA courseware and learning materials
• CompTIA certification examination voucher included.
