Level 1 Funded Courses

If you are aged over 19 and live in Wales, you may be eligible to receive fully-funded Level 1 courses.

What is Level 1 Funding?

Working with The College Merthyr Tydfil, Level 1 Funding offers FREE short courses that give you new skills and enable you to become Level 1 qualified.

It will enable you to obtain the skills and qualifications you need to get back into work, change your career or progress in your current job. Your study will take place as a live, instructor-led course, which will be either virtual or face-to-face.

Who is eligible?

Support under the funding scheme is available for individuals who:

• Live in Wales
• Be aged 19 years old or over

Learners are eligible if they are unemployed or currently in employment (earning any amount).

Individuals are NOT eligible at the point of application if they are any of the following:

• Under the age of 19
• Attending any further or higher education
• In Welsh Government-funded Work-Based Learning
• An ineligible overseas national
