ReAct Funding - What You Need To Know About The New ReAct Plus
04 July 2022 | Produced by Kandy Shaw
There has been a change made to ReAct funding. From 4 April 2022 eligibility for this funding now also includes 18–24-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training. The funding is now known as ReAct Plus ( ReAct+). This new eligibility is part of a government support package forming the Young Person’s Guarantee which offers greater opportunities for them to gain experience through training, work placements, apprenticeships or employment. Support is now more tailored to the individual’s needs whilst also catering for a younger and wider age group.
ReAct Plus offers a package of support to help someone unemployed or made redundant to get back into work quickly, pretty much regardless now of age. It also offers encouragement to employers to employ people through the ReAct scheme. If they were to do so, then they could receive funding (up to £3000 for the first 12 months) towards wages, as well as the cost of any further job-related training that the new employee may need.
