If you live or work in Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, or Swansea, you could be entitled to receive funding towards the cost of your course.

What is Skills for Workplace?

Working in collaboration with Pembrokeshire College and Coleg Sir Gar, Skills for Workplace offers funded courses to individuals across South West Wales.

The Skills for the Workplace project is funded by the Skills and Talent Fund through Swansea Bay City Deal and the Regional Learning and Skills Partnership. This project takes an innovative ‘sector-based’ approach to deliver work-relevant skills to individuals across South West Wales. It aims to raise the skill levels of those entering the local labour market and those already in the workforce. By doing so, it helps employers and enterprises adapt to economic changes.

Who is eligible?

Support under the funding scheme is available for individuals who:

• Be aged 16 years old or over
• Live or work in Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, or Swansea
• Is a UK national or has valid documentation confirming leave to remain in the UK
• Can be unemployed or employed (part-time students only are eligible if currently in education)

How do I apply?

1. Contact Us and we will provide you with a Skills for the Workplace participant form to complete and request evidence of funding eligibility criteria
2. Eligibility Check: Pembrokeshire College will review the completed form and documents
3. Contribution Payment: Once funding has been approved, the college will inform learners of the small personal contribution payment they need to make towards the courses
4. Approval and Funding: Successful applicants will receive funding notification and can begin the training programmes.
